According to Robert Lee Brewer ( Writer’s Digest September 2019, p. 14) the hir a thoddaid is a Welsh form of poetry consisting of 6 lines where:

Lines one through four and six have 9 syllables and share the same end rhyme.

Line five has ten syllables and shares a rhyme with the beginning of line six
